A SECOND man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Liam Holden in Grays.
Ryan Wood was originally arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed until May 22, pending further enquiries, but police re-arrested him on Thursday, April 18 and he was charged last night.
Unemployed Wood, 21, of Godman Road, Grays, appeared at Basildon Magistrates Court this morning.
He was remanded in custody until his next appearance, at Chelmsford Crown Court, on Monday, April 22.
Owen Wood, 23, also of Godman Road, Grays, appeared at Southend Magistrates Court last month also accused of murder.
The pair are alleged to have killed 35-year-old Liam Holden after he left the Euro Lounge nightclub in Grays town centre.
Mr Holden was taken to Queen’s Hospital, Romford, with a serious head injury, but died in the early hours of Sunday, March 10.
Owen Wood's next appearance at court is on May 13 for a plea and case management hearing.
He is also remanded in custody.
