Commuters are facing heavy traffic on the A13 due to a lorry catching fire this morning.
The fire took place on the eastbound carriageway at A1089 Tilbury to Baker Street Interchange.
It is believed the fire is now extinguished but recovery work is still underway to move the lorry.
As a result, the exit ramp is partially blocked.
Traffic is moving but the road is very busy.
It is not known at this time whether anybody was injured as a result of the fire.
Drivers are advised to find an alternate route if possible.
