X FACTOR boyband One Direction is set to return to Lakeside Shopping Centre next week.

The boys, who finished third in the talent competition last year, are already on their second book, and their first single hasn’t even been released yet.

They will be signing copies of Dare to Dream in the shopping centre’s central atrium on Thursday, September 15, at 4pm.

Kylie Minor, acting marketing manager at Lakeside, said: "When we welcomed One Direction back in March, it was one of the most popular celebrity visits we’ve ever seen.

“We’re delighted that they’ll be returning to Lakeside next week and we’re sure that their devoted fans will be hugely excited by the news."

Liam, Harry, Zayn, Louis and Niall will meet fans who buy copies of the book, which is the story of their rise to fame, from the Lakeside WH Smith store.

Fans must collect a wristband when they buy the book in order to join the queue to meet the boys on the day.

Wristbands will be available from 9am on Friday, September 9, and availability will be limited.

Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event, but accompanying adults do not need a wristband to gain entry to the queue.

The band will release their first single, What Makes You Beautiful, on Sunday, September 11.

It is expected to top the charts after notching up the biggest number of pre-orders in their label Sony Records' history.
