ON THE sea angling front there has been of plenty of action in this week with anglers getting among the catches.
Thamesmead: Eddie Sharp reports lots of flounders and a few bass being caught.
Erith: Bass to 2lb, flounders, eels and the first soles of the season have been landed at Morrison’s Jetty.
Belvedere: Flounders, bass and pin whiting have provided sport.
Dagenham: Flounders, pin whiting, eels and the occasional flounder have been reported.
Rainham: Anglers fishing at Coldharbour Lane have caught eels, school bass and pin whiting.
Southend Pier: Whiting, bass and flounders have been keeping fishermen occupied.
Charter boats: Chris, from Wallasea-based Cloud Nine, had lots of decent skate and whiting, plus dogfish and smoothhounds. Terry, of Walton’s Misty Lady, had 40 big skate and large bass.
