A WORD of thanks to all you lovely people who read my ramblings and are kind enough to tell me they appreciate them.
At the time of writing this, the famous Hope Committee is switching on the Christmas lights in Stanford-le-Hope. To be exact, Mark and Julie, our local landlord and landlady are doing it. Thank you!
On Sunday, December 16, at 4pm, Carols on the Green takes place again with involvement from local schools, Spectrum Brass, the Rotary Club, Town Cryer Jim Shrubb, our local MP and a few extra surprises!
You’re welcome – even if you aren’t fortunate enough to live in the best place in Thurrock – and can be assured of a really special evening.
From Oxford Street to Auchtermuchty, Christmas lights will be going on up and down the country over the next few days and you can be one too!
A Christmas light? Yes! Who told you that you couldn’t shine?
Speaking of our society. the good book says you must shine among them like stars lighting up the sky, as you offer them the message of life.
How about it this Christmas? Straighten up. Put on a big bright smile.
And shine! – JOHN.
