OVER the last couple of months North Stifford have been busy.
We had a very interesting talk on “the amusing account of life in schools today” by Brian Carline and the following month we had an extremely interesting talk from Elaine Baigent about her dealings with orphanages.
In March members, together with colleagues from Chafford Hundred WI, visited Freeport and then continued on to visit the Chocolate Lady.
In April we had our annual elections and Olive Clay agreed to be our new president.
April also was the month when North Stifford convened the annual Thames Spring Group meeting.
We are now looking forward to going to Southend for afternoon tea and other outings.
