THERE were 30 members and a visitor at the April meeting.
After singing Jerusalem and giving out birthday cards the business of the meeting was conducted.
The Marie Curie Cancer Care charity has sent us a letter of thanks for the recent donation from the collection.
Tickets are still available for the Spring Group meeting and we have an outing to RHS Wisley in June. We discussed ideas for the July party.
The speaker was Cheryl Wells, a local Trading Standards Officer, who gave us a comprehensive talk on her job. Ann Abbs thanked her.
Mo Lawson won the competition for a decorated biscuit and Sandra Blackburn won the flower of the month. Hazel Vaughan won the raffle.
We meet on the second Tuesday of the month in Aveley Band Hall at 7.30pm.
