A NEW school in Tilbury is rapidly taking shape. T
he new building of the Gateway Primary Free School is being built on the site of the Gateway Academy.
The primary school will be part of a new group of schools, which includes Lansdowne and Herringham academies and the Gateway Academy.
Kevin Sadler, chief executive of the Gateway Learning Community Trust, said: “It has taken a long time to get to this position, but I am really excited now that I am finally seeing the school coming to life.
“We are on track to be complete in February 2014 and are currently recruiting children in Year 6 and reception.
“This new facility is a great asset for Tilbury and Chadwell and will be another major milestone in raising standards of education locally to compete with the best in the UK.”
Pupils can still apply for a place in September 2013 by calling 01375 489094 or visiting www.theglc.org.uk
