TWO-HUNDRED and fifty members met at the Civic Hall in Grays for our June meeting.
Speaker Steve Lester gave a splendid presentation about the Titanic, from its inception through to its tragic demise, including some hitherto little-known details which gave authenticity to this famous event.
Six members of Thurrock U3A’s play reading group provided the voices – speaking actual words used at the time by people involved in the historic drama of more than 100 years ago.
