WE had more than 40 ladies attending our September meeting.
Our speaker was Ann Hardy talking on the World of Theatrical Costumes.
Ann was an accomplished seamstress and had worked for a famous costumier.
Ann met a lot of the stars and although some of the fabrics she worked with cost thousands of pounds her wages were around six pounds an hour.
She had us all enthralled and ended with gossip from stars she had met.
We all said a big thank you to Phyllis Ford for organising our Mystery Tour of Essex on Tuesday. It was a really lovely and interesting day.
The next day out is to Pole Hill Nursery in November.
Our next meeting was due to take place on October 2 with our birthday party later that month.
