I NOTICE a big percentage of Gazette letters complaining about councillors’ decisions right across the borough.
However, the councillors’ attitudes are supported by local apathy to get involved.
As one who attended the Grays town development forums with a few other local people, I was shocked to discover the level of apathy when so many are criticising the town and the council.
Party-affiliated councillors cannot be relied on to represent local views.
They have a conflict of interest that would not be allowed in most other professions. They are compromised by political parties.
If people want to improve the borough and protect their way of life, they could form local forums and present independents for election to the council.
