I WANT to object to the Cogent Land LLP Housing Development proposal for the building of 800 homes in Corringham.
Following my visit to Gable Hall School on October 2, to attend what was laughingly called a consultation event, I understand the land opposite or close to Gable Hall School to be the site.
This so-called consultation event was nothing more than an exercise in Cogent Land trying to sell their idea to locals, who do not want it.
As for any consultations, there were far too many local people there to express their concerns or ask questions, especially as the event was between 4pm and 8.30pm.
Was the whole of Corringham and Stanford supposed to get the answers they required in that short space of time?
There were far, far too many people in the school hall for anybody to ask anything constructive.
This development would ruin Stanford-le-Hope and Corringham, and take away green belt land.
