POLICE are investigating claims a schoolboy was assaulted and kicked to the ground by two men last week.
The boy, 15, says he was walking home along Gardner Avenue, Corringham, when a van pulled up and two men got out and assaulted him.
Police confirmed a group of youngsters had got involved in a row with a van driver about 5pm on Wednesday, November 6.
The assault is said to have happened at about 7.30pm.
The teen’s mother said her son had been sick with worry, saying he has been unable to go outside with friends since.
She said: “He went out with friends, but within 30 minutes was on the phone asking to be collected. I hope whoever did this is caught and justice is served.”
An Essex Police spokesperson said: “Police are investigating allegations of an assault.”
Call PC Jamie Haskoylu at Grays Police Station on 101.
