A MAN has been named the best learner of 2013 by his college.
Ben Prayel, 21, was awarded the accolade by Barking & Dagenham College at the College’s annual Excellence Awards ceremony on Tuesday, November 13 Creative Media Production student Ben was also the proud winner of the Entrepreneurs Academy Award.
Ben, of Gideons Way, Stanford-le-Hope, was joined by three times World Champion and Olympic silver medallist, Colin Jackson MBE.
Colin shared with the enthralled audience the secrets of his success during an inspiring and motivating speech.
Ben said: “I had no idea I was going to win these awards, but it feels great. It’s nice that the College recognises all our hard work in this way and I can’t thank everyone there enough for all the help and support I’ve been given in my studies and with setting up my own business.”
Barking & Dagenham College’s Principal and CEO, Cathy Walsh said: “It is a pleasure to see so many incredible students at the ceremony and to be able to congratulate them on their successes.”
