A RECENT influx of development plans means at least a whooping 2,600 homes could soon be built in Thurrock.
And the council’s local planning framework policy says it has the capacity to build 18,500 homes by 2026.
HUGE plans already passed include...
*501 homes in Purfleet Road, Aveley (subject to permission from the Secretary of State)
*350 homes on St Clere's Golf Course, in Stanford-le-Hope (subject to permission from the Secretary of State)
*362 homes are currently being built at Woodview, in Grays, at the site of South Essex College 350 homes at the site of the Aveley bypass
And in the pipeline....
*800 homes on green belt land alongside Lampits Hill, to the north of Corringham.
*350 homes off Heath Road, Chadwell St Mary on the border with Orsett
*Heath 320 homes near Lakeside, off West Thurrock Way, west Thurrock - to be discussed in the new year
