Our November meeting started on a sad note when we had a minute’s silence in remembrance of two of our members, June and Rene, who are recently deceased. They will be missed, but not forgotten.
We had a presentation from Tony Curtis (not the film star) showing the slides of his travels through Peru. This was really interesting as he is truly a talented photographer.
We then celebrated Joyce’s 90th birthday with a cake. She looks a lot younger than her years, as do our other members who are nearly at this milestone.
We all had tea and then concluded our business for the evening. We discussed the wonderful birthday party we had had at the Orsett Cricket Club, and thanks was given to those who had helped make the evening so wonderful. Please feel free to join us at our future meetings.
