THE mum of a man who went missing following a New Year’s Eve get together has made a tearful appeal for her son to return home.
She was joined by friends of missing man Bradley Arthur who spent New Year's Eve with him.
Bradley, 24, of Drake Road, Chafford Hundred, was last seen at a gathering of friends in Grove Road, Grays. He left there at around 4.30am on Thursday, January 1 and there have been no confirmed sightings of him since.
More than a hundred people, including family and friends, gathered at the Sandmartin pub in Chafford Hundred this morning to join police in searching for the dad-of-one as the search entered its fifth day.
His mum, Kay, 51, said she just wants her son back.
She said: “I just want him back. If anybody out there has seen him or knows where he is, just ring somebody. If you don’t want to ring us, ring somebody and please let us know you’re safe.
She added: “I just feel devastated. Empty. I’m numb. I just need my son back.”

Bradley's friends also made an appeal, whilst Bradley's son Archie was held by girlfriend Jennie Burke.
The mother of Bradley's son, Jennie Burke, 23, of Nevell Road, Chadwell, was too overcome with emotion to speak.

Friend and next door neighbour Cassie Taiani, 24, has known Brad since she was five. She said: “We’re all devastated. We just want to get Brad safely home to his family. If anyone knows any tiny bit of information about Brad don’t hold it to yourself.”
The police helicopter has been seen hovering above Grays in previous days and police have been encouraging people to check their gardens, sheds, and garages as concerns for the father grow.
A Facebook page called Find Brad Arthur has gathered nearly 30,000 followers since the weekend, and had over one million visitors.
A Twitter account has also been set up using the name @find_brad.
Before going back to a house with friends, Bradley had been celebrating New Year’s Eve with friends at Orsett Hall. He is described as white, around 6ft tall and very thin with mousey brown hair and stubble.
When he was last seen he was wearing dark blue jeans, a white shirt and a grey blazer. He was reported missing at just after 8pm on New Year’s Day by his mother.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
