SO, Westminster Council thinks it's fine to buy up homes across this borough and send its most vulnerable residents to come and live here?
Well, people here are not best pleased, and it’s easy to see why.
Here in Thurrock there are enough residents who need looking after.
The move by Westminster is cheeky and borders on ridiculous.
How arrogant is a council which sees fit to spend £3.6million worth of tax payers' money to shift a problem from one council to another?
That's effectively discarding its responsibilities and letting down its most needy residents by sending them away.
What’s also worrying is the word on the street is Westminster Council will look to spend millions more on properties outside its borough’s boundaries.
Well how about it keeps its nose out of Thurrock in the future?
An influx of Londoners forced to come here against their will would add an unncessary, and unwanted, burden to already pushed local services.
And it's unfair, and non-beneficial, to send vulnerable families out of an area they know into an area they don't.
