THE first of what will be a number of resident-led action group meetings over the proposed new Thames crossing will take place in Orsett this weekend.
Orsett Village Hall will host the meeting of the Thames Propoals Action Group on Sunday (7th) from 2pm-4pm.
The aim of the meeting is to discuss actions going forward for those in the fight against a new crossing. The hall only holds 100 people.
The landscape of the village could be severely altered if the government’s preferred route three is eventually chosen, with a number of houses in the village in line to be destroyed.
Then on Monday, the second Highways meeting will take place at the Culver Centre in South Ockendon from 11am-7pm.
