A woman whose brother died from cancer has been raising money to fight the illness since he died more than 30 years ago.
Sue Wood and the rest of her team at Buddies Hairdressers, in Grays, raised £1,181 for Cancer Research this year after holding their annual raffle.
Sue, 63, has been doing this since her brother died of cancer at the age of 30 in 1974 - making this the 34th fundraiser.
"We started an annual raffle in 1974 and we have done this for 33 years and have raised more than £40,000 for Cancer Research.
"Our clients are very generous because everybody knows somebody who has died from cancer."
In 2012 they received the Flame of Hope award from Cancer Research for their dedication to raising money for Cancer Research.
