Ortu Gable Hall School has begun a stunning display in name of Remembrance Day...and is now looking for your donations to add to its impressive piece.
Outside the school’s entrance this month, visitors will be delighted to find a huge structure full of poppies, made from old plastic bottles.
Ortu Gable Hall School bosses were excited to create a waterproof and eco-friendly display in honour of Remembrance Day this year.
It was designed by the school’s creative department and the official opening of Ortu Gable Hall School’s poppy display will be on Monday.
A school spokesman said: “We had a great morning at the beginning of the week setting up the poppy display, but we would still love some more donations of waterproof poppies please!”
If you were interested in making your own bottle poppies for the school’s display, the deadline for donations is Friday, November 5, and can be handed in at the school’s reception.
