A police chase involving a suspected stolen vehicle came to an abrupt halt when the car crashed off the road.
The Range Rover, which police believe was snatched by thieves in the Harlow area, was spotted in Purfleet by officers last night.
Essex Police’s Operational Support Group said the car ‘made off’ from officers but was then found crashed off the side of the road.
One person was arrested.
They later found another stolen Range Rover in the Purfleet area which had been abandoned.
It is believed the vehicle was originally stolen from the Midlands.
A man was arrested nearby in connection with the theft.
