Elden Ring FromSoftware is a large game development firm best known for the Souls series. The game series is not only tough but also quite popular, and a new game, Elden Ring, was recently released.

This is yet another fresh new action RPG under the direction of Hidetaka Miyazaki. Author George R.R. Martin, who is stepping in to enhance the game's backstory, is another respectable figure that has piqued players' curiosity in the game. If you're not familiar with George R.R. Martin, he's the author of A Song of Ice and Fire, which was transformed into the blockbuster HBO series Game of Thrones.

The pair has released a new fantasy setting in which gamers will experience an open-world Souls-style video game. You may anticipate some challenging encounters from a game made by the developer of the Souls series, but it appears like FromSoftware is trying to include certain elements in this game that weren't featured in previous games, such as employing horses to navigate the landscape. Throughout the campaign, you'll have access to an open environment, more freedom in completing tasks, and some hard gameplay.

 

Horizon Forbidden West

Guerrilla Games' Horizon Zero Dawn, an open-world action RPG about a young woman called Aloy, was one of the most popular PlayStation 4 exclusives. The game is set in a distant future when humanity has failed and enormous mechanical animals have taken over as apex predators in this series. What's remained of humanity has disintegrated into little tribes that live in terror of these mechanical creatures. Aloy was born an outcast, and her major quest in the first volume is to discover the truth about her origins and why she was put out.

Aloy appears to have set her sights on exploring the western edges of the Pacific Coast in her current game. It is here that she hears about a new epidemic that is killing both humans and plants. Players will have to once again preserve mankind, but this time there will be new mechanical adversaries and hostile human factions that have figured out how to take control of these animals. Horizon Zero Dawn is presently available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, although you may recall that it was launched on PC a few years after the PlayStation 4 version. No indications have been made that this will happen in the sequel, but it's something to keep an eye on.

 

Dying Light 2: Stay Human

When it first came out in 2015, Dying Light was a huge success among zombie fans. It had a parkour-style aspect in which players could swiftly navigate around structures while fighting undead hordes. The sequel, on the other hand, has been in the works for quite some time. We're still waiting for the game, which will hopefully arrive this year. According to what we know so far, this game takes set over a decade after the events of the original game, with the zombie pandemic wreaking havoc over the globe.

Players are fundamentally in one of the least safe cities, not just because of the undead beyond the walls, but also because of the fighting groups within the city boundaries. The gameplay will mostly follow that of the previous iteration. Nonetheless, the makers have stated that there will be several decisions during the campaign that will have important implications, so we're curious to see how comprehensive the ramifications are when the game is released. Parkour and fighting have also been improved, so you should be able to chain together a number of strikes while vaulting over the open-world area.

 

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2

Link was thrown into an open-world action-adventure by the video game. Players had to fight Ganon and several dangerous foes strewn around the area. Like previous chapters, there are many riddles to complete, gear to discover, and a princess to save. Nintendo is releasing a sequel as a result of the game's popularity. We don't have many specifics regarding the sequel yet, but it was revealed during an E3 2019 teaser that Link will go on a new adventure. It remains to be seen what this involves and how much the world has altered. But, perhaps, we'll learn a lot more about this impending title next year.
