THE British National Party is fielding candidates in every ward in Thurrock for the second year running.
This is because Thurrock is a priority area for the BNP, as is also demonstrated by selection of Party Chairman Nick Griffin as the prospective Parliamentary candidate.
The borough is experiencing a drastic change in population as large numbers of migrant workers and asylum seekers settle in our towns. This creates a scramble for resources which affects everyone.
It is the cause of property price rises which leads to property ownership being out of the reach of most young families and first time buyers. It means there are less public sector properties available for local people.
The BNP wishes to protect our Green Belt. New housing developments should only take place by re-developing existing sites.
The pressure for new developments is caused by the influx of migrants. New developments will attract more migrants to this area, instead of properties being made available to local people.
Local people must get absolute priority in social housing.
There are not enough resources as it is for the people who live here. There are too few GPs, dentists and school places and the area is too congested as it is.
The BNP favours weekly rubbish collection. Bi-weekly collections lead to health problems with pests and to an increase in fly tipping.
The BNP will untie the hands of the Police that are currently bound by political correctness, to enable them to get tough with anti-social louts.
The BNP will ensure that traditional events such as St George's Day are properly celebrated and will stop the council wasting money on minority groups and translation services.
Many people moved out here from London over the previous few decades. They have seen themselves driven from one town and do not want to be driven from another.
Longer term residents used to put their faith in the Labour Party. The dock communities in Tilbury for example used to view the Labour Party as the defender of the working class way of life.
Not any more.
After over ten years of callous neglect by Labour, there is a growing feeling of betrayal.
There is a feeling that we have become second class citizens in our own land, that we are at the back of the queue, and that the government has lost control of our own borders. The reality of this loss of control is felt every day in the streets of Thurrock.
These are the main reasons why the BNP is experiencing such high levels of support locally. Last year the BNP got around a quarter of the vote in Thurrock. This year it is expected to go up even higher and for there to be a healthy group of BNP councillors By electing a BNP councillor you will have someone who you can turn to and not be worried about what you say.
They will be there to expose council corruption and fight for the rights of local people. They will be there to work for you.
