THURROCK MP Andrew Mackinlay was among the interested onlookers as the count progressed in Thurrock.
With the first result of the evening still some time away, he did however, sense a mood swing in favour of the BNP, something he regarded as of concern.
The MP said: "It's worrying the BNP are doing relatively well but it's still early and very difficult to make an assessment and I haven't been around all the tables yet.
"The organisation has been first class."
