YEAR three for the best new addition to the saturated festival circuit, and surely their most attractive line-up yet - taking place July 17 to 20.

Latitude is set in the breathtaking Henham Park, in Southwold, Suffolk - a journey that I've managed in an hour and a half the last two years, so certainly within reach.

It's surely the best location and atmosphere you'll find at a major festival, eschewing the over-populated, mass-marketed and downright unpleasant feel of many of its peers in favour of a family-friendly, relaxed and altogether less cynical approach.

The bill itself is a healthy balance of crowd-pullers and new talent, with headliners Sigur Ros, Interpol and Franz Ferdinand supplemented by new talents such as Errors, Wave Pictures, Suffolk hopes Cheeky Cheeky.

As for the rest of the bill, well, check this lot out:
Death Cab For Cutie, Go! Team, Martha Wainwright, I Am Kloot, Seasick Steve, new rave hotshots Crystal Castles, Teardrop Explodes legend and certified loon Julian Cope, Elbow, Deus, Guillemots, House of Love, The Coral, Eurovision madman Sebastian Tellier, Nick Cave's Grinderman, The Breeders, Tindersticks, Blondie and Mars Volta - plus at least that amount again.

Going to take some beating...

That aside there's poetry, theatre, film and music and a literary arena, plus a comedy stage featuring another peerless selection - Bill Bailey, Ross Noble, Russell Howard, Rich Hall, Frankie Boyle, Phil Jupitus, Lee Mack, Jeremy Hardy and Stewart Lee, just for starters.

Phew...

The last two years have been amazing, and it's hard to see 2008 disappointing.
