A DISPERSAL order was put in place in Thurrock after concerns were raised over a car meet.
Essex Police implemented the order over the weekend around Lakeside after reports of a car meet with 30 and 40 vehicles and a significant number of spectators.
The event is said to have caused disruption in the area, prompting police officers to take action in a bid to avoid the risk of further anti-social behaviour.
The order covered the area between the Dartford River Crossing to the junction 30 of the M25, to the A126 West Thurrock Way to the A1090 and the A1306 and all of West Thurrock.
A dispersal order gives officers the power to instruct anyone suspected of causing anti-social behaviour to leave the area and not return within 48 hours.
The order remained in place until 6am on Sunday.
