B&M is set to open a new store in The Mall, Grays Shopping Centre.
The new store, opening at 8am on November 30, will create 69 new jobs for people in the area.
The retailer has taken over the 16,642 sq ft site, which will be refurbished before it opens.
There will be a wide range of branded groceries, including food, drink, and pet food, as well as products from other departments, including health and beauty, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, and gifts.
Thurrock Foodbank, which was set up in 2012 and has grown to 10 centres across the borough, has been chosen to officially open the store.
The charity provides support to those in 'food crisis.'
The store manager from B&M said: "We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.
"Thurrock Foodbank really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done.
"We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do."
