EARS were left ringing after Sunday’s all day music event at the Bull pub in Corringham.
Hundreds gathered at the event entitled “FestiBull”", which ran from 11am to 11pm and featured some of the areas most talented bands.
A marquee was set up in the garden of the pub where bands including headline act and Stanford-le-Hope-based five piece The Secret Members, thrashed a mixed set of covers and originals, including renditions of the Sex Pistols' Anarchy in the UK and the Kaiser Chiefs anthem, I Predict a Riot.
And a riot is nearly what ensued as the crowd, by now well oiled from an afternoon’s drinking, jumped up and down singing along with lead singer Greg Smith.
Before The Secret Members took to the stage other bands, some of which are also Thurrock-based, graced the stage.
These included Millions Wasted, Caleb, Jacksons Warehouse, The Kase, The Velcros and The Riots.
The Riots impressed with the anthemic Cops and Robbers, a song reminiscent of the early Jam with the lead singer adopting the same colloquial tones as Paul Weller.
The day wasn't just about Rock n' Roll there was a barbecue, bouncy castle and face painting for the children.
By the time the last band had strummed its final chord the crowd had doubled as people moved into the marquee to escape the rain.
The evening was wrapped up with DJ sets from, Push Music, FestiBull organiser Jimmy Lee and Jon Slater.
This was followed by sets from DJ's Robbie S, PK and Bradley Be inside the pub.
