LOCAL singing star and ‘Thurrock’s Got Talent’ winner Shana Elliott-Hayers will soon be joining the team of tutors employed by Thurrock Music Services.
She will be providing help and support to encourage more young people in Thurrock to get involved in singing.
Shana will initially be working in Schools in Tilbury and Chadwell St Mary, helping pupils and staff to become confident singers and enjoy using their voices.
Shana will be giving singing lessons at secondary schools in Thurrock and also at Belhus Music School, Palmers Music School and Hassenbrook Music School.
Shana said: "I am really looking forward to working with Thurrock Music Services and am truly grateful for the opportunity that has been given to me.
“This has always been my dream.”
Shana will feature prominently in the forthcoming ‘Thurrock Teen Idol 2009’ event that is being organised by Thurrock Music Services.
She will be visiting local Secondary Schools to audition young vocalists and will then be a lead tutor when the event transfers to the Thameside Theatre, Grays in February next year.
Simon Lowman, of Thurrock Music Services said, “We are delighted to be welcoming Shana to our team. She has so much talent and enthusiasm - I am sure that the young vocalists of Thurrock will love working with her”.
