TILBURY singer songwriter, Jordan Gray, has been busy of late appearing on Southend Seafront and reaching number one on an online poll.
Jordan, 19, who performs under his stage name of Tall Dark Friend, is also preparing to headline the Thameside Theatre in Orsett Road, Grays on Saturday November 29.
The show entitled, Concerto Diabolus, has been financed by his mum Terri Gray and friend Beverley Boase who promote his music through B & T Promotions.
On Saturday October 25 he appeared on Southend Seafront for Southend Radio 205.1FM’s battle of the bands competition, Tall Dar Friend being the only solo artist to make it through to the final.
And on Monday October 27 his song Anti-hero reached number one on www.unsignedchart.com.
Terri, of Dunlop Road, Tilbury, said: “He has sold over 100 copies of his albums throughout Essex this week alone doing various gigs in Chelmsford, Sible Hedingham and Great Leighs, to very appreciative audiences.
“His myspace is rocketing to 200/300 song plays a day and ticket sales for his show at the Thameside Theatre Concerto Diabolus are selling well.”
Jordan has also been asked to play the prestigious Bullet Bar in Camden on January 14 2009.
Tickets for Concerto Diabolus are £8 and are on sale at the box office. Call 08453005264.
