TILBURY singer songwriter, Jordan Gray, headlined his own show at the Thameside Theatre, Grays on Saturday November 29.
Jordan, 19, performed under his stage name of Tall Dark Friend.
The show entitled, Concerto Diabolus, was financed by his mum Terri Gray and friend Beverley Boase who promote his music through B & T Promotions.
The show was a theatrical spectacular bringing in dancers from Palmer’s College in Grays and percussionists, saxophonists and various acts from the borough.
Jordan’s mum Terri, 47, said: “Musicians and guests from across Britain gathered to see what is heralded as a turning point on the modern scene.
“The show was brimming with passion and humour and included an eclectic mix of original and classic material in a powerful collaborative effort to push the art past its borders.”
Guest musicians included acoustic guitarist Ben Sullivan and saxophonist James Ansell.
Anne-marie Nicholson and Emma Slade choreographed the show.
In the past year Tall Dark Friend has continued to sell his independent albums 'Beautiful' and 'Anti-Hero' which he writes, records and produces in his room and distributes at various gigs around the country.
His new album entitled, The Dark Horse and the Underdog was launched at the show.
Jordan’s mum Terri, has been thrown into becoming his manager and publicist and is now getting other local youngsters asking for help in promoting and getting gigs, which she does free of charge.
Terri, of Dunlop Road, Tilbury, said: “It's become my favourite hobby. I print, burn and hand out all the promotional stuff, I love every minute.”
