I FELT I had to write regarding the letter about compensation culture.

I am Bethany’s grandmother and her accident was no scrape or minor injury.

I presume by the sound of the letter that EB Thomas does not have children.

I witnessed a six-year-old child having fun, then suddenly her bike’s front wheel hit an open storm drain and she flew over the handle bars.

The sound of her head, luckily she always wears a protective helmet, as it hit the ground, and a very upset child needing her bloodied wounds cleaned, was horrible.

Three weeks on, and she still has red marks on her face that her injuries have left.
