WITH reference to John Webb’s letter last week on the subject of Blackshots playing field, he wondered if the NPFA are aware of the proposals by the Thurrock Thames Gateway Devel-opment Corporation to build houses on this land.
Having contacted the organisation, now known as Fields in Trust, I can tell you it is fully aware of these proposals, only because a number of local residents had informed them.
It is not best pleased the Thames Gateway Corp- oration has not had the decency to inform them of these proposals.
A letter to the TTGDC received only an acknowledgement, but no answers to its questions.
The Fields in Trust is most definitely against these proposals and thinks that options two and three of the North Grays Masterplan are really non-starters.
The representative I spoke to urges residents to demand a public meeting on this issue.
He will be pleased to attend this meeting when – not if – it is arranged.
As this influential body is ready to support our cause, I have undertaken to inform it of developments. – KEN GAYLER, Victoria Avenue, Grays.
