ANDREW Mackinlay MP’s replacement as Labour parliamentary candidate for Thurrock is set to be announced on Saturday, December 12.
Favourite for the post is well-known former mayor Carl Morris, who is a councillor for Grays Riverside and works in Mr Mackinlay’s constituency office.
Mark McDonald, who lives in London, is a human rights lawyer who has worked in Grays and Basildon for 12 years.
Lisa Homan, from Hammersmith, in West London, is a councillor at Hammersmith and Fulham Council and is its shadow Cabinet member for crime and street scene.
Adenike Abimbola-Akindele, from Hackney, is a former House of Commons worker, a school governor and a committee member of Africans for Labour.
