LAKESIDE shoppers were treated to a style and dance extravaganza at the shopping centre’s annual fashion show yesterday.
The latest collections of a host of retailers including River Island, Moss, Debenhams, and Next, were showcased on stage, with dance routines by Out Of The Shadows in between.
The group is the sister troupe of Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity, and their high octane routines for the show were choreographed by its frontman Ashley Banjo.
Fashion supremo Grace Woodward, a judge on Living TV’s Britain’s Next Top Model, and 2009’s stylist of the year, also made an appearance on stage after giving one lucky shopper a work wardrobe makeover.
Sophie Preston-Hall beat off 40 other entrants in the Lakeside competition to win the makeover, as well as getting some top tips from Grace, she also got to keep her favourite outfit.
Sophie, 37, from Mersea Island said: "I am a self employed mum of a fab five- year-old boy and running a busy recruitment agency.
“Having recently split with my husband there never seems enough hours in my day and I never have time for me.
“I started thinking I would love a new image both in and out of the office as I start my new life."
