A LEADING figure in Thurrock’s voluntary sector has been suspended and since resigned from her post.
Naya Naqvi, chief executive of Thurrock Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) for the last four years was suspended from her post in November amid allegations from the board against her.
Sharon Wright, infrastructure support manager at Thurrock CVS confirmed to the Gazette that Naya had been suspended two months ago, and has since resigned, while an internal review was taking place.
Sharon would not reveal the reason's for the suspension.
She added the reasons to Naya’s suspension and resignation would be public “imminently” and that it was down to Neville Baldwin, the chairman of CVS to site the reasons.
