IN response to the reply to my letter in last week’s Gazette regarding parking problems outside Thurrock Hospital.
I am sorry if my letter led you to believe I am against patients parking outside the hospital.
What I tried to say was I am not happy with the ones that park across the bus stop.
Many bus travellers do not enjoy having to walk into the road and across a very muddy verge to get on the bus.
Our petition to the council was hopefully to get this problem sorted out and also to get them to try and get the hospital to provide proper parking spaces.
It seems the NHS has built up this hospital with many new clinics etc without regard to parking.
I do hope the new community hospital planned for Grays is better thought out with regards to accessibility and parking.
I resent being told I have a lack of community spirit and understanding.
I am hoping that if the council does eventually do something it will be for the benefit of residents and users of the hospital and buses too. – YVONNE BUTT, Long Lane, Grays.
