LAKESIDE Shopping Centre has launched its new 21 Good Deeds scheme by giving the corridors of St Luke’s Hospice a facelift.
A team of six from the centre headed to the hospice, in Basildon, and got busy attending to the corridors and landings in the complex.
The good deed was the first of 21 that the centre’s team have pledged to carry out as part of its 21st birthday celebrations.
Kylie Minor, acting marketing manager for Lakeside, said: “Lakeside and St Luke’s both celebrate their 21st birthdays in 2011 so we couldn’t think of a more appropriate way to launch 21 Good Deeds. It’s our way of giving back to the community.”
