ONE of the constant themes I keep banging on about is the need to develop a “gratitude attitude” in everything we do.
Grateful people are always happy even when they have nothing.
Ungrateful people are always miserable even when they have everything.
So let me practice what I preach by saying a huge thank you to all the people of my community for supporting the Stanford Festival so faithfully. What a fabulous day we had!
Thanks Sandra and Lynn. Thanks James and Jan. Thanks Marie and Maureen. Thanks Simon and Steve and John.
Thanks stallholders and shopkeepers. Thanks dignitaries and churches and pubs. Thank you to all who took part.
Together we pulled it off and the 1940s spirit again shone through on our streets.
The Bible reminds us to never stop giving thanks. If we do this we’ll discover it actually does us a lot of good.
So, once again, thank you! – JOHN.
