A MOTORIST is to appear in court following a fatal road crash in Thurrock.
The 30-year-old woman from South Ockendon has been charged with causing death by careless driving as a result of the incident, which led to a 48-year-old London man losing his life.
The collision happened in Sandy Lane, Aveley when a VW Polo and a Nissan Micra struck each other shortly before 6.30am on Monday September 26.
Farhad Zaman, 48, from West Green Road in Tottenham, North London, died as a result of the incident.
The driver of the Polo was arrested at the scene and has now been charged.
She has been released on police bail and will appear at Basildon Magistrates Court on Thursday, April 12.
A 45-year-old man, from South Ockendon, was also arrested in connection with the crash, but has since been released without charge.
