A NEW group supporting parents of children with special needs has launched in Thurrock.
Thurrock Transition Support Group aims to support parents as their children leave sixth form and progress into adulthood, through regular meetings at Beacon Hill School, in Buxton Road, Grays.
Deputy mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Yash Gupta, cut a cake to officially launch the group.
The group is chaired by Tracey Smith and works with Thurrock Council’s transistions team.
Tracey said: “The motto of the group is ‘if we can’t help you, we will find someone who can’.”
