THREE horses caused traffic chaos this morning.
The animals were spotted on the London bound track of the Stifford interchange around 7am, forcing officers to put road blocks in place on the M25 slip road and the A13 as a precaution.
Officers had to call in a vet as the horses charged when approached.
One of the horses was secured by the vet using a rein at 8.30am, and the second at 8.48am.
The third horse made off in the direction of the M25 and was tranquillised and led into a horse box around 9am.
Road blocks on the A13 Southend bound were lifted at 9.28am, and all road blocks were lifted by 9.32am.
By 9.39am traffic was moving again.
