A FIRE broke out in the loft of a house in Aveley in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters raced to the house, in Usk Road, arriving at around 4.47am to find the loft completely alight.
Three children and two adults inside the house got out of the property safely.
The fire, which is believed to have started in a room in the loft, was out completely by 6.20am.
The roof of the semi-detached property has been left with extensive damage, but crews managed to stop the fire before it caused any damage to the house next door.
