CRICKET: Essex’s stalwart bowler David Masters has agreed a deal to stay at the club until the end of the 2015 season.
The 35-year-old ended the last campaign as leading wicket-taker for the fourth consecutive season, with 51 wickets, including best figures of 6-41 against Kent.
He said: “This will take me up to the age of 37 and I want to play for as long as I can. I want to continue playing cricket for as long as I can continue to perform on the pitch.
“There is also a lot of responsibility on me now to help the younger players coming through at the club and pass on my experience of the game to them.”
