THURROCK kept their unbeaten start to 2018 intact as they claimed a share of the spoils at Folkestone Invicta.
Fleet travelled to Kent having recorded back-to-back 1-0 wins to get the new calendar year off to a flying start.
And although they could not pick up another three points at Folkestone, they were able to leave the Kent coast having picked up a 2-2 draw.
The hosts, who went into the clash flying high in the Isthmian Premier League, took the lead on the stroke of half-time through Ian Draycott.
Fleet boss Mark Stimson would have been hoping for a quick response from his side, and he got one.
Michael Pindy levelled matters within 60 seconds of the restart.
And things got better for Thurrock as Lewwis Spence scored on 64 minutes to turn the game on its head.
But Fleet were only ahead for five minutes before Draycott completed his brace.
Neither side could force a winner, which resulted in Thurrock remaining in 13th place in the standings, while Folkestone are third.
Thurrock: McNamara, Morgan, Sutton, Dunn, Goode, Christou, Pindy (Brown-Bampoe 81'), Spence, Ogunrinde (Ribeirio-Goncalves 90'), R. Winn, Nouble
