THURROCK T-Birds made sure the 550-mile round trip to Plymouth was worth it after thumping their counterparts 55-7 in Championship South.
The hosts couldn’t handle the power of the T-Birds’ scrum and the visitors drove the hapless Plymouth pack back over their own line from a five metre scrum for Sarah Dyche to claim the first score after seven minutes.
Plymouth were four scores down inside 30 minutes, with two successful conversions making it 24-7 and Sophie Jane-Tyler added more points after the half-time interval.
Samantha Macdonald dotted down twice with India Harvey securing an excellent score of her own as the game finished 55-7 to the away side.
The T-Birds host Cheltenham on Sunday at 2.15pm.

Training is on a Wednesday evening at 7.30pm.

The defeat was Thurrock’s 11th in 16 games and saw them slip into the bottom three.
Thurrock are now 12th in the standings, 10 points above bottom side Maidstone, and welcome fifth-placed London Cornish on Saturday, with the match beginning at 3pm.
