LOOKING AHEAD: East Thurrock United will be determined to put their league troubles behind them when they begin their FA Cup journey.
Rocks, beaten in eight of their 10 league games so far this season, are occupying the final relegation place in the National League South.
Tomorrow’s opposition Whitehawk were relegated from the same division last season.
Back in the Isthmian Premier League, the Hawks have also won just two matches this term and sit ninth in the standings.
Rocks were beaten 3-2 by Whitehawk at this stage in 2016.
THE MANAGER’S VIEW: “I am looking forward to a break from the league and the changes to the squad are exciting as well,” said manager John Coventry.
“It’s a nice competition to be involved in and we want to do well in it again.
“We will have to contend with the wind but we will have more physicality in the squad so hopefully that will be easier to contend with.
“Whitehawk have a very different team from when we last played them. They had a very good under-18s last year and they could feature.”
TEAM NEWS: Gabe Kellum has joined Canvey on loan, Danilo Orsi-Dadomo has departed, Alfie Egan’s loan spell has ended.
