Grays chief executive Mick Woodward has said that he is standing down from the position at the club.
In a statement issued on Tuesday evening he said: "After 10 years of running the Club the time has come for me to stand down as Chief Executive and pass the reigns over to the new committee who have the acumen and drive to push the club forward and carry on with my aim to achieve League status.
"I have, in my time as Chairman, enjoyed the experience immensely and I am extremely proud of what has been achieved during my term here, both on the playing side and the vast improvements made to the ground.
"I am retaining my shareholding and will continue to support the team and look forward to seeing you all on match days, the day running of the Club will be taken over by the new regime as from 1st September 2009.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Directors, Staff, Players and Fans for the support you have given me over the years and wish Grays Athletic Football Club all the best in there current league campaign and every success for the future."
