ATHLETICS: Thurrock Harriers were in action in last Sundays 5 mile Ingatestone road race.
Harriers were well represented in last Sundays' Ingatestone 5 mile road race.
Seventeen-year-old Tom Richardson was the 1st Harriers home with a quick time of 28.31 finishing in 7th position.
Close on his tail was David Johnson in 16th position, 29.41, Don Lawless put in another solid performance in 19th position, (30.30.) Other harriers also placed well with : John Russell 29th (31.10) Robert Russell 35th (31.36), Jason Syrett 41st (32.29) Bernie Johnson 80th (35.46) Mick Bumstead, who suffered an injury in the race finished in 38.18 This Sunday (3rd October) will see the Harriers out in force again for the Southend 10k, raising money for Little Havens, with many hoping to achieve personal bests.
